This Time- Limited position is in our Minority and Small Business Bureau of the MS Development Authority. Principal Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: The APEX Accelerator Advisor must assist clients, as appropriate, with understanding federal, state, and local government requirements that apply to contracting for services, manufacturing, engineering, construction, or other markets, be knowledgeable about the various methods used by agencies to purchase goods and services, how each is used and what special circumstances may apply, as well as socioeconomic programs and their requirements and uses.

APEX Advisor must: Understand the methods and procedures to identify and assist clients in understanding the requirements they need to meet to do business with federal, state, and local governments. Facilitate assistance in increasing the number of Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and Government Industrial Base (GIB) readiness businesses. Understand how goods and services are marketed to government buyers, where to locate opportunities and how to determine what markets are most appropriate for each business's goods or services. Advise and assist clients in preparing and submitting of applications, certifications, registrations, etc., required for them to do business with government entities. Be qualified to determine the required applications, certifications, registrations and eBusiness tools related to marketing to Federal, state, and local governments. Advise and assist clients in pursuing and securing subcontracting opportunities from prime contractors that have subcontracting plan obligations pursuant to FAR clause 52-219-9 or similar clauses. Be knowledgeable about the Defense Production Act (DPA) Title III and the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBS) activities. Facilitate Cyber Security Compliance and Training in pursuit of CMMC certifications. Facilitate the development of innovative business to government-led programs Government-led Innovation Programs (GIP). Identify and maintain a catalog of business working on critical and emerging technologies. Understand the relevance of FOCI (Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence) Understand and facilitate Mentor-Protégé relationships. Provide technical assistance to individuals and businesses pursuing contracting/subcontracting opportunities with the Department of Defense (DoD) and other Federal and/or State and local entities. Solicit participation by Small Business, Small Disadvantage Business, Women Owned Small Business, HUBZone Small Business Concerns, Service-disable Veteran-owned, and Historically Black College Universities Counselor /adviser for the (Gulfport) South Mississippi Region of the state requiring travel to service areas. Market MS APEX Accelerator (formally the MS Procurement Technical Assistance Program) services to Mississippi businesses and federal, state, and local government agencies in area of 12 counties: Bolivar, Carroll, Coahoma, DeSoto, Grenada, Humphreys, Issaquena, Leflore, Panola, Quitman, Sharkey, and Sunflower. Location: 23939 County Road 523 Schlater, Mississippi 38952. Position primarily involves relatively skilled, hands-on farm work required for the commercial production of live fish for sale to other producers/farms or to processors throughout all assigned job tasks. Job requires operation of various tractors and farm equipment including, but not limited to, tractors with various implements, dozers, and trackhoes; operating boats or tractors on fishponds to position seine nets and sock nets used to capture fish; operating hydraulic loader crane attachments to move fish from nets to live tanks on board a tractor-trailer truck; guide movement of fish from crane scoop attachment to live tanks; positioning the scoop and releasing fish from the scoop into live tanks; sample, count, and weigh fish; record field data and prepare reports relating to hatchery, harvesting, and feeding activities by inputting data into an electronic registry or recording data on paper forms, engaging in repairs to drains, levees, and wells and road grading work; monitoring status of ponds, following directions and instructions from managers and supervisors; completing other similar and related tasks and duties as assigned; performing grounds maintenance; and monitoring and performing routine maintenance and repair on equipment, systems, boats, tractors, automotive vehicles, aerators, drains, levees, wells, and road grading work. Repair and maintenance may require using cutting torches and welding. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on field, pond, weather, and crop conditions. Some weekend & shift work possible. TKB’s iREPAIRS is searching for someone to fill a full-time position in- store. 

Information: Front of House sales/service associate. Hours are from 8am-5:30pm M-F. Some Saturdays may be needed. We operate hiring by implementing a 180 day (6month) grace period. This means that starting pay ($9) per hour will be effective immediately , and after 6month of service, we will evaluate the employee for larger pay if the pupil has proven successful. Along with a raise, the pupil will receive fully compensated health coverage, dental, and PTO ( 12 days per year at full rate). To be clear, the pupil will not pay any amount of their pay compensation to obtain our BCBS 90% health coverage, it will be provided at full, by TKB’s iREPAIRS.
